This week was mainly about self-doubts and low self-esteem. However, I also had a motivational call with one of my former teammates from ice hockey. And the sun was out; nice and warm outside!

Recap: What has happened this week?

The person from last week who requested a proposal said no. That’s totally fine, I’m still happy there was someone considering me. It was a big confirmation right on the last day on the job,

However, somehow it made me have many doubts about myself. Not just that he declined the offer, but also in general, I lost a lot of energy this week. I don’t feel like I’m good enough, or that I have any idea what I’m talking about. Some kind of imposter syndrome.

On the other side, I had a call with the friend from ice hockey. It was very motivational and inspirational. Great to hear how he made it out of a deep hole, back into positivity.

Reflection: How did I do this week?

One of the goals for this week was to get out and find clients. I have not achieved that, but I’ve been working on ways to get more traffic, which might end up in conversions. I restarted my blog, and wrote a few posts for the upcoming weeks. And also I started listing my business on several websites, to get known by more people.

While I did manage to work, and not get lazy, the self-doubts really had a negative impact on my work, as well as well-being. For a few days, I couldn’t really work very productive.

It got warmer again, and I enjoyed the sun. Actually writing this, sitting on a bench in a park. That lifted my mood quite a bit.

Next week it should start to rain again, with less sun (or no sun at all – let’s hope the weather forecast is wrong).

Gratitude: What am I grateful for?

I’m truly grateful for the call I had with my former teammate. I really love to hear when people make it out of a big hole, and use it for something positive.

I’m also grateful for the sun, and the warmer temperatures. Feels so good!

I’m happy that I picked up writing for my business blog again. First because it helps me to learn more. And secondly because I can share my knowledge, and hopefully help someone along the way.

Challenges: What was my greatest challenge this week?

Self-doubts. Imposter syndrome. It’s such a huge challenge for me. I had it many times before, but of the last months I actually did quite well. Now it’s back, and it for sure is a huge challenge to overcome.

Learnings: What did I learn?

Even from a deep hole, one can push oneself to something positive. Change the life 180°, and have a positive impact on the people around one. I hope I can use this learning from my former teammate, and overcome the low self-esteem. Because to be honest, I should be grateful, as there are many people out there who have it worse.

Action: What are my 1 to 2 main goals this week?

Overcoming the self-doubts. That’s what I really have to work on. I don’t really know yet, how I can do so. But that is to be found out next week.

And of course, I still have to find ways to get new clients.

Let’s talk about it!

You are very welcome to take part in a meaningful conversation in the comment section below. But please remember, this website is kind of my digital living room. And because of that there is one simple rule: be nice to each other!
